Marking off the level and layers, preparation workshop

The level is important for the full course of a build.
Level 0 is the top of the finished floor of the ground floor.

Motivation phase
Watch the video on the level for construction.

The video gives a better look over the level

Information phase
Transferring the level from the reference point in the workshop.

1: What do we need?
> The water measuring device
> A reading staff/folding rule.
> A mason pencil.
> We are going to transfer the marks to the profiles.
2: Implementation:
> The level zero is determined, we now draw from 0 the 1m level.
> That 1m level we will transfer.
> Adjust the level over.
> Student 1 holds meter to reference point/line, student 2 reads off.
> Student 1 moves to the profiles with the meter, student 2 will guide student 1 and his meter until he can read the same as at the reference point.
> Indicate the 1 meter level by a horizontal dash and 2 slashes down.
* Students used the leveling device.
* You can also use the water pasting device or the laser.

Information phase
Determining and depreciating the layer size.

1: We first make a layer ruler.
* We mark the layers on the batten.
2: What do we need?
* A wooden lath, not too wide.
* A mason's pencil.
* A folding gauge+ a small store hook.
3: Implementation:
* Lay 10 quick-build bricks on their side, measure them and then divide by 10.
* Lay the gauge open and start writing off on the layer ruler, make sure the folding gauge cannot move, e.g. 15.4 cm - 30.8 cm- 46.2cm enz........
* For handformed facing brick do the same thing.
*Draw the lines with the square on the batten and transfer them to the profiles.
4: Raising the mason wire and laying out the first layer of bricks without mortar.
* Place the mortar tubs and prepare the quick-build bricks.

In the video below, you'll see all these things.
