Production of facing bricks
In the video below you can see how bricks are made in the factory.
Information phase
Facing bricks
* What are they used for?
- Façade bricks are most often used for the outer cavity sheet
- They come in all shapes and sizes, from light to dark.
- The range of bricks is incredibly large, to much to cover all.
- It discusses the color, other textures and formats. From embossed bricks to sleek-looking bricks.
* Types of facing bricks:
> Facing bricks are divided into three large groups:
Handform:
- The surface of the handform stone is rough and each stone is unique in shape.
Strand press stones:
>- A pressed facing brick is tightly delineated and has straight edges.
- The surface is perfectly smooth, without folds and can be sanded or unsanded.
- Some strand press stone have a surface texture.
- The stone can be with or without holes
** Molded bricks
- These have an older view
- The edges are rounded and crumble to a limited extent.
To make these stones one will start from brand new facing bricks that will receive an extra treatment in order to get an outdated character.
- There is also the fairly new Wasserstrich stone.
- This stone is slightly smaller.
- This stone is a combination of roughness of a hand-moulded stone and the unsandedness of a strand press stone.
