DIRECT CURRENT VOLTAGE SOURCES BASIC MAINTENANCE

Battery
Check voltage on terminals. Around 12 volts means battery discharged; around 13 volts means battery charged.
After removing the plugs check the liquid level. It must cover completely the electrodes
Rectifier
Check voltage on the input connectors. It must be 230VAC.
Next, check voltage on the input voltage fuses. In case of malfunction, replace the fuses.
Next, check transfomer voltage output. Advisable to check it on the output fuses. Replace them if necessary.
Next, check voltage on the DC positive and negative bars of the diode bridge. In case of no voltage or low voltage replace the diodes.
Next, check voltage on the filter terminals. Better using an oscilloscope.
Finally check output voltage on output connectors and fuses. Replace fuses if necessary.
Dynamo
Check voltage on F terminal (Field)
Check voltage on D terminal (Armature)
Also check the contact brushes on rotor.

Consolidation phase
Repeat steps 2.2 and 2.3 before taking the test
Consolidation phase
Basic maintenance test

You must give ten consecutive right answers. If not, go over the animations and repeat the test.
